Our Under 15 panel, who brought a strong Graig Ballycallan to the wire in the Feile hurling final last week were out again in the Feile Football. After a rousing William Wallace like call to arms by captain Michael Maher, our lads took to the field against a Danesfort team hoping to avenge their semi final defeat to Barrow Rangers last week. Barrow Rangers made a bright start with chances falling to Odhran O Keeffe and Cain Scully, and the excitement of playing at the other end of the field saw their chances go narrowly wide. Chances didn't come easily for either team, and warm weather conditions played a part on the match. Danesfort took the lead, and scored an impressive goal, with the Barrow Rangers lads replying with a well taken point. The match finished in victory to Danesfort who advanced to the semi final, and it was great to see our lads leave the pitch as gracious runners up, and with a smile on their faces. Congratulations to Caleb Hughes, who finished the football season as the clubs top scorer! All eyes on the Under 15 championship now....
