It's that time off year again were everyone will enjoy a bit off time with family and friends.
I would like to thank everyone in the parish for there help and support of Barrow Ranger's Gaa. It has been wonderful year for the club getting two teams to Nolan Park under 15 losing there final and our junior B team lifting the cup and all other teams competing well in all other competitions.
Off the field we had the completion of the new pitch that will hopefully be ready by the summer to see games being played on also both clubs are getting a very kind donation from the Mc Manus family.
I have been in contact with Barry Smith, the new Chairperson off the Camoige club. I would like to wish Barry all the best in his new role. we are hoping that this money will go towards something in the new development that everyone will get use of over the coming years. This week the club received 4100 euros from Leicester Council towards the sowing of the grass and we also drew down 64000 euros this week which is the second installment off the pitch grant.
there is a news letter in shops and pubs to give everyone a breakdown of the years activities and works carried out. It has been 5 years since the start of the new pitch development and everything is going well but unfortunately we will need a big push on fund raising next year as we didn't do anything this year and we have lots of work still to finish.
I would like to Wish everyone a Happy Christmas and New year stay safe and see you all in the pitch in the coming months
James Flavin Chairman Barrow Ranger's Gaa
